Hungarian Salad

This is a nice alternative to coleslaw.

Ingredients:

  • 1 small cabbage- thinly sliced
  • 2 onions – thinly sliced
  • 2 peppers – thinly sliced
  • 1 large cucumber – thinly sliced
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 2 laurel leaves
  • 1/4 cup vinegar
  • 1/2 cup olive oil
  • 1/4 cup water
  • pepper to taste

Directions:

  1. Add the sliced cabbage and the salt to a large bowl.  Mix well with your hands, crunching it as you turn it.
  2. Add the rest of the ingredients and mix well.
