This is the Venezuelan version of guacamole. It is a little darker than the Mexican version and that is due to the fact that we use red peppers instead of or besides using tomatoes. In Venezuela it is served with steaks.
- 1 Avocado – make sure it is ripe!
- 1/2 lime juice
- 1/2 onion
- 1/3 red pepper (without seeds)
- 1/2 – 1 teaspoon salt
- ground black pepper to taste
- cilantro leaves
- Place all ingredients in a food processor and mix well. That’s it! … I’m assuming you understand the avocado needs to be peeled and seeded first…. 🙂
